best banana bread recipe
i’ve been perfecting my banana bread recipe for awhile now - a little crunch on the outside, soft & chewy on the inside, & alwayssss eaten warm with a slab of butter. i also have this saved as a reel here, but if you like printing out recipes instead of looking at your phone while cooking, this version is for you!
ingredients
1 stick butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs (room temp)
4 very ripe bananas
1 cup sour cream
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
recipe
preheat oven to 325 degrees!
cream the softened butter & sugar in medium-large bowl. add in the eggs & mix!
use a fork to mash up the bananas (but keep them somewhat clumpy!)
add the bananas, sour cream, & vanilla extract to the creamed butter/sugar! stir until combined.
add the flour (in increments - stir as you go) salt, & baking soda to the wet ingredients! stir until JUST combined.
add a piece of parchment paper to your loaf pan & bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean!
let cool for 15 minutes, slice & serve with butter & flaky salt if you know what’s good for you.
yummmm tag me when you make this! bake it up as breakfast for your fam, bring it as a hello to new neighbors, switch it up & make it as muffins instead. enjoy!
