my monthly faves: april edition

april was wilddddd! our fam (plus kyle’s mom!) jetted off to japan for 17 days. it was our first international trip as a family, & it was SO fun but we were very tried by the end of it 😜 basically the whole month of april was either planning for travel, actually traveling, or unpacking! so in that vein… here’s some of our faves from this month that are all very travel related ✈️

1 / stackable snack holder

this snack holder made it sooo easy to prep a bunch of snacks at once & have them at the ready - especially for when the kid’s started to get antsy on travel days. we mainly used this one for Ziggy, and then this spinning one for Foster!

2 / ice roller

cannot stop shouting this one from the rooftops! you guys messaged me on insta saying “if you’re willing to use a hot pink ice roller, it must be good”, & that is 100% accurate 😂 i do NOT go a morning without ice rolling. i crave it!!! it depuffs my face & simply helps me wake up. most mornings i use it while i sit on our front porch with the girls so that we get our morning sunshine in too.

3 / packing cubes

i swear by packing cubes for keeping everything organized in my suitcase, especially when i’m sharing a big suitcase with both girls! for this trip i used a few for my own clothes, then one for foster, one for ziggy, and one shared for their pajamas and swimsuits!

4 / carryall stroller bag

okay i actually used this stroller bag for Japan but have since purchased this cute checker one that is just as good! it’s a little bigger + pricier but for the look of it, i think it’s worth it. both fit on any strollers (including travel ones…scroll down for my pick on that front!). if you don’t have one of these bags for your stroller, make your life easier & get one. as moms we are always carrying 1 million things & it’s so nice to pop my iced latte, water bottle, phone, keys & whatever else i want easy access to right in it!

5 / dry shampoo

my current favorite dry shampoo! doesn’t leave my hair greasy or tinted at allll, no weird white residue, & lasts all day! i’ve been using aerosol dry shampoo for awhile but i feel like nothing absorbs the oil better than the straight up powder ones.

6 / owala water bottle

HOW did i not know about this water bottle sooner??? hands down my favorite bottle i’ve ever used! leakproof, an easy built in handle loop on top, & you can sip OR use the built-in straw (!). i grabbed the 24oz for this trip, & immediately bought the 32oz too as soon as we got home.

7 / travel stroller

i planned to bring our normal Uppababy vista stroller to Japan but after being warned against it on a couple travel forums, i decided to buy a travel stroller & i am sooo happy i did. this one is pricey but SO nice. insanely lightweight but more durable than most travel ones. & fits a decent amount in the bottom! foster likes to stand so most of the time ziggy was strapped in the seat while foster stood on the front! worked PERFECTLY for us.

8 / messy eater stain remover

a MUST for travel. having stain remover on hand was soooo helpful! this stuff is magic - legit gets out any stain.

9 / over the door organizer

not travel related, but worth mentioning because of the true delight it brought me both before & after our trip! four people wearing shoes means our hall closet got so crammed full it was hard to sort through so i got this to house all the girls shoes! it’s beautiful & useful AKA my fave kind of item.

10 / mouth tape

add this to the list of ‘love it so much i bought it even though it’s hot pink’ 💁🏼‍♀️ do your research on how much better for you it is to breathe through your nose (especially at night), then come back & buy this mouth tape. i’ve used so many kinds & this one is SUPERIOR.

as always, i link all my faves throughout the month in an instagram highlight - here’s my april links one! 😘
