DIY cozy nook

when we first moved into our home (almost 3 years ago now!) i envisioned a cozy little nook space in this area! plants, linens, fresh flowers, & flickering candles.

as a vivid dreamer...sometimes my ideas stay in my head longer than i'd like to admit ;) but last month a beautiful bunch of friends coming to visit gave me the spark to say "kyle let's finally freaking make this nook!"

my home rennovation ideas = GREAT
my home renovation skills = MINIMAL

but kyle green has no shortage of handiness + brilliance so he & a friend made this idea come to life in ONE afternoon!!! & it was soooo affordable!

- the bench seating is all plywood! built into the wall. 
- the table was an IKEA refresh. we took the original tabletop off & replaced it with a lighter wood, to match the benches. for simplicity + budget sake, we kept the frame! (might sand it down in the future!)
- cushions are IKEA outdoor chair cushions, covered with drop cloths AKA cheap linen ;) 

i'm just in love with the space! it's as cozy as i dreamt up in my mind. hope this weekend project of ours inspires you to let that creativity flow in your own space!
