2023 holiday gift guide: for the home cook
here it is… our final 2023 holiday gift guide! i think i saved the best for last with this gift guide for the home cook 👩🍳 there’s something for everyone on this list—a combo of everyday essentials & leveled-up classics that will make anyone swoon. here we gooooo!
1 / breville frother
this frother is AMAZING. i still love making hot lattes with my breville espresso machine steamer, but honestly usually use! i’ve owned 3 different frothers before this one & this one takes the cake because: holds a ton of milk, sooo easy to clean, hot or cold foam, & holds up well with daily use.
2 / glass cooking pot with lid
on of my favorite things to make my house feel so cozy in the fall & winter is to set a simmer pot on the stove. it’s basically like the warm version of a diffuser - i love to add some combo of orange/lemon slices, cinnamon sticks, & other whole spices (cloves, nutmeg, star anise!), vanilla extract & a few drops of essential oils (like tangerine, or rosemary). cover everything with water, bring to a boil & then turn down to simmer. it will make your house smell good for HOURS. keep an eye on the water level & just add more in as needed! & this clear glass (ribbed!) pot is *perfect* to make it in. (but you can also just make regular food in it too haha)
3 / brass pepper mill
level up their stove-side essentials with this STUNNING brass pepper mill! i was gifted this by my MIL a couple christmases ago. it’s so practical & works so well. crushing peppercorns right before you add them to food (which is the point of a pepper mill) makes the pepper SO much more flavorful!
4 / rice dispenser
for the fam who eats a ton of rice (🙋🏼♀️), this rice dispenser is amazing! makes it so easy to measure how much rice you need, & turns your pantry staples into decor.
5 / ceramic garlic keeper
garlic keepers help garlic stay fresh by keeping them away from light & humidity - plus they just look so perfect sitting out on your countertop! i can vouch, i forgot about a garlic head in mine for weeks & it was still 🤌🏻 good as new.
6 / cast iron ceramic coated pan
if you haven’t tried cooking with cast iron yet…this is your sign ;) this pan is the best intro to cast iron, since it’s ceramic-coated & a way better price point than many others. we use this pan daily—to toast sourdough in butter, saute chicken, make pasta sauces, etc. swap the top knob for this brass one if you’re as picky as i am 👋
7 / caraway food storage set + prep set
i’m pretty convinced everything Caraway touches turns to golds ✨ i got the food storage set from my fam for christmas last year, & i 10/10 recommend it. so freaking beautiful, microwave/oven/fridge/freezer (!!) safe, & just like their pans, comes with the best organizers! save up to 20% during their holiday sale by clicking here!
8 / gold + wood measuring cups
me: searching for the most beautiful version of every household item. i’ve had these for years, & they are my fave! a great stocking stuffer for any home cook in your life!
9 / kitchenaid mixer
i’ve owned a kitchenaid mixer for a few years now, but i just recently started keeping it out on my counter & i use it SO much more now! or if they already own a mixer but just need a little refresh - this speckled ceramic bowl is amazing. this is a great gift for someone who loves to cook & bake but doesn’t want to splurge on this item for themself!
10 / lemon mug
biiiig fan of fruit designs these days. how cute is this lemon mug?! 🍋 gift this to the coffee or tea lover who needs a little mood brightening during cooold winter days 🥶
11 / half baked harvest cookbook
half baked harvest creates consistently the best meals 👏🏻 she’s my go-to. her recipes are always SO flavorful, generally pretty easy (though some are time-intensive…look for her 30-minute meals online). I own all her cookbooks & cook from them often - a perfect gift for the cook who needs some new inspo!
12 / weck jars
this is the epitome of a practical, beautiful, useful gift! i use weck jars for ev.er.y.thing, & this size is my favorite by far! i use them as drinking glasses, storage for dry goods, leftovers, a pencil jar in my office, & the list goes on. definitely get the pack of 6 - you’ll use them all.
13 / butter keeper
a crowd fave. such a good price for a handmade ceramic piece! our butter keeper is full at all times for perfect room temp spreadable buttah, baby. just keep an inch of cool water in the bottom of it & wash it once a week!
14 / fable dishware
buy this set for the person who’s still living with their mismatched dishes from college. fable’s pieces are all handmade, perfectly imperfect, & hold up so well with daily use! their black friday sale is live right now!
15 / material knives
we adore our material knives! they’re made of japanese stainless steel & high carbon, aka they are built to last a literal lifetime. i’m also pretty picky about how a knife feels in my hand, & these handles are truly perfect. get the set instead of individual knives for the best deal! they’re having a great black friday sale right now too 🔪
these gift guides have been SO fun to make - thanks for following along! i’d love to know which items you end up snagging for your friends & fam (from any of the lists)!!
